T-90 Checking the list

With the house in a state of partial 'packed', we are on the final T-90 day countdown to departure. It is monumental to go through 20 years of house stuff. There are 3 piles: keep for later. Toss. Donate. It is exhausting. Our trello board is steadily moving more to the 'done' state. Our amazon account is seeing plenty of activity.

We've got a few big boat projects. First we are focused on our safety gear. So far we've inspected all the gear on the board (ditch bag, Man overboard module (MOM8), life-jackets, EPIRB, flares, etc.). We've replaced our jacklines & tethers. We found a place to store our immersion suits. They are so stylish. For some reason I kept thinking of sponge bob...

We are anxiously waiting for the Seattle Boat show so we can get a few more things on our list (we have our liferaft all scoped out which will be another install). The MOM (see above) I have to get serviced, so that will be next week.

Secondly, we just installed the Starlink and so far so good. We are pleased with the experience at the dock and are eager to try it in the wild. We got the larger sized one that can be mounted permanently on the radar arch (more on this install later). We were pleased that mount fit exactly where our old satellite TV dome was with no modifications. That NEVER happens! I did my first zoom call and it was pretty good! I'm happy with this! Next I've got to turn our Iridium back on, and remember how to get our weather.

Third, we installed the liter-robot for the cat. I know, this is a bit over the top and for those of you that are curious it was an exciting challenge to get it through the 18" door. There may -- or may not be broken pieces of plastic. I don't think Leia will notice? It seems to still work (Fingers crossed!) It was totally an unnecessary luxury. And if anyone comes to visit, we'll all be sharing one shower -- because the forward head is now 'the cat's domain'.

Next up -- upgrading the solar panels, adding a spinnaker pole and provisioning the non-perishable things that will be stowed deep in the bilge -- so labeling and sorting. More on these later!
